I (Jake) had the awesome privilege to photograph Daniel proposing to Lauren yesterday at Bok Tower Gardens. Daniel & I met for coffee a few weeks back to talk about the proposal and how it was all going to happen. He told me why he chose Bok Tower and shared some sweet stories about why this place was special to them. Not only was this the spot they went on their first "official" date but yesterday also marked one year of dating for them! Their first date at Bok Tower consisted of not just one, but multiple interactions with strangers. First, as they were sitting on a bench a woman approached them and asked if she could take a picture of them. Second, as they were walking and standing in front of the tower, an older couple with years of marriage behind them, came up and told them that it was in the exact spot, years ago that they exchanged their wedding vows. Now, that was just their first date, so wedding bells weren't even being considered. But it is such a special memory that they share now! Of course, Daniel used that same bench yesterday. After walking the gardens for a bit, they found their way to the bench, spent some time in prayer and then he popped the question!
